Hello, I'm Nicola McCormack and I trained as a Level 7 specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor at the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre. I have a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) from Patoss (the Professional Association for Teachers of SpLD).

I trained as a dyslexia teacher following my eldest son's diagnosis with dyslexia and therefore have personal experience of the challenges but also the strengths of having dyslexia. I worked for 10 years in an independent prep school in Surrey, teaching 1:1 literacy and numeracy support and carrying out dyslexia assessments. I now work privately carrying out dyslexia assessments and exam access arrangement assessments.
